Lots of good stuff.
Yeah I know it’s been awhile since my last update… I should probably do that more often. Anyways, a lot has happened since then. Probably the most important piece of news is I got a job! The Southern Rural Development Center I’ve worked at since April of 2009 as a student worker offered me the position as their web designer and manager. It isn’t a glorious job, but it’s a job, and in the area I’m interested on focusing in.
Also, in the coming month I hope to be able to announce a project that I’ve been working with my friend and graphic designer Sean Galey. Very exciting! After we get finished with the ground work for that project, I’ll be focusing more on my personal site and blog with a complete redesign and direction. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking, I know… sometimes dangerous, and I really want to try out a lot of new ideas. Not to mention my portfolio is getting a little out of date especially in the web design section.
Other than that, not to much going on. So until next time, the zero people who follow my blog may be lucky to get a post, or you just might visit one day and it’s all completely different.
Tweenbots!
So this has been around awhile apparently, but I cam across it recently and just couldn’t help but think how cute/funny/awesome this was. So what is a tweenbot you may be asking? Well it’s a little hand made robot, usually card board and some under workings, that is set loose trying to reach his destination. The problem however is he can only go in a straight line so he must rely on those people around who to point him in the right direction. His end destination is displayed on the flag he carries so hopefully friendly humans will aid in his need. Check out the tweenbots web site for more information and photos.
Yay! Blog added to my site!
I feel I’m pretty productive as is, but I felt like adding a blog to my site would help me keep it updated more as well as showcase what I’m currently working on. I also tend to find random obscure things that interest me so this could possibly become an outlet for that as well.
Along with adding the blog, I updated my portfolio since it has changed a little bit since I graduated. I have a few websites I’m working on currently, and when I finish those I’ll get them up. I wish I could post them right now because it’s really exciting, but I must wait. I’ll get some updates rolling later, but it just passed 2 a.m. and I need to get to bed for work tomorrow.
